Kazang betting sites
Kazang vouchers are betting vouchers sold for cash at spaza shops and small stores with a Kazang terminal, so you can fund a bookmaker account without a bank card. In our data Betway, Hollywoodbets, Supabets, YesPlay, Easybet, BetXchange and others accept them. Deposits are instant and free, but vouchers can't be used for withdrawals.

What Kazang is
Kazang is a vending network owned by Lesaka Technologies. Small shops, spaza shops and taverns use a Kazang terminal to sell prepaid products: airtime, data, electricity, bill payments and vouchers. Lesaka reports that Kazang terminals are now at more than 60,000 informal traders, which makes it one of the easiest ways for people in townships and rural areas to pay for things online with cash.
Betting vouchers are part of that range. Kazang’s product list includes vouchers for Betway, Hollywoodbets and Supabets, as well as general-purpose OTT and Blu Voucher top-ups. You pay the shopkeeper cash, get a slip with a PIN, and enter that PIN on the betting site.
Bookmakers that accept Kazang
In our data ten bookmakers accept Kazang vouchers: Betway, Hollywoodbets, Supabets, YesPlay, Easybet, BetXchange, LottoStar, World Sports Betting, Betshezi and SuperSportBet. All are South African licensed bookmakers, which is typical: cash vouchers are a local product.
1Win doesn’t accept Kazang in our data. If you want to play at 1Win without a card, crypto or Zapper is the way in.
How to deposit with a Kazang voucher
- Find a shop with a Kazang terminal. Look for the Kazang sign at the counter, or ask the shopkeeper.
- Ask for a betting voucher for your bookmaker, say how much, and pay in cash. Some shops sell bookmaker-branded vouchers; others sell OTT or Blu Voucher through Kazang.
- Keep the slip. It has the voucher PIN.
- Log in to your betting account, open the deposit page and choose the matching voucher option (for example “Betway voucher”, “Kazang”, “OTT” or “Blu Voucher”).
- Enter the PIN and amount. The money appears in your balance straight away.
If the deposit doesn’t show, don’t throw the slip away: support will need the PIN and the date to trace it.
Withdrawals
Vouchers only go one way. To cash out, choose a payout method on the withdrawal page:
- Cash-send services, if you don’t have a bank account: FNB eWallet, Standard Bank Instant Money, Absa CashSend or Nedbank Send-iMali at Betway and Hollywoodbets.
- Bank EFT at every bookmaker above.
Complete FICA verification (ID and proof of address) before your first withdrawal.
Fees, limits and speed
- Fees: the bookmakers don’t charge for Kazang deposits. You pay the shopkeeper the voucher’s value.
- Limits: the voucher value the shop sells and the bookmaker’s minimum deposit, often R5 to R10 at local bookmakers.
- Speed: instant once you enter the PIN.
Who it suits
Kazang suits punters who bet with cash and live far from a big supermarket. A spaza shop around the corner is often closer than a Shoprite till, and the shopkeeper can sell you exactly the amount you want to bet.
It’s less useful if you bank online, because Ozow or Capitec Pay is quicker and you don’t have to leave home.
Pros and cons
Pros
- No bank account or card needed.
- Sold at tens of thousands of small shops.
- Instant, free deposits.
- Accepted by Betway, Hollywoodbets and most major local bookmakers.
Cons
- Deposit only.
- The slip works like cash: if it’s lost or seen by someone else, the money can be used.
- Which voucher brands a shop sells varies.
Other cash vouchers
1Voucher and OTT Voucher are the most widely accepted cash vouchers in South Africa. Blu Voucher is sold at Pick n Pay, Checkers and Spar, EasyPay Voucher is another Kazang-network product, and Shop2Shop vouchers come from traders using the Shop2Shop app. MTN customers can also pay from a MTN MoMo wallet. Compare them on our payments page.
Buying vouchers with cash can make it harder to track what you’ve spent. Set a weekly budget, use the deposit limits in your betting account, and call the NRGP free on 0800 006 008 if you need help.
