Absa CashSend betting sites
Absa CashSend is a cardless cash payout: the bookmaker sends money to your cellphone and you draw it at an Absa ATM, or at a Pick n Pay or Boxer till, without an Absa account. In our data Betway, Hollywoodbets and Jackpot City pay out this way, and Absa caps CashSend at R5,000 a day.

How to deposit with Absa CashSend
- Choose Absa CashSend as the withdrawal method
- Receive the 10-digit reference and the 6-digit access code
- Withdraw at an Absa ATM, or at a Pick n Pay or Boxer till
What Absa CashSend is
CashSend is Absa’s money-to-cellphone service. The sender pays the money into the system and the receiver gets a 10-digit reference number by SMS. With that and a 6-digit access code, the receiver can draw the cash at any Absa ATM, or at a Pick n Pay or Boxer till, without a bank card or an Absa account.
Bookmakers use it the same way a parent sending pocket money would: you ask for a CashSend payout, the bookmaker sends it, and you collect notes at the nearest Absa ATM. It’s one of four bank cash-send services South African bookmakers use, alongside FNB eWallet, Standard Bank Instant Money and Nedbank Send-iMali.
Where you can withdraw with Absa CashSend
Fewer bookmakers offer CashSend than eWallet or Instant Money. In our data it’s listed at Betway and Hollywoodbets, both licensed by provincial gambling boards, and at Jackpot City. None of these takes CashSend for deposits; it’s purely a way to get winnings out.
Offshore casinos don’t offer it. 1Win, for example, pays out to e-wallets, crypto and bank methods in our data, so if Absa ATM cash is what you want, use a local bookmaker.
How to withdraw with Absa CashSend
- Complete FICA. Upload your ID and proof of address. Withdrawals stay locked until the bookmaker approves them.
- Choose Absa CashSend on the withdrawal page and enter the amount.
- Confirm your cellphone number. It must match your betting account.
- Wait for the reference. After approval you receive the 10-digit reference number by SMS. The bookmaker supplies the 6-digit access code, usually in the same message or in your account.
- Collect the cash at an Absa ATM: choose CashSend, enter your cellphone number, the reference and the access code, and take the money. Pick n Pay and Boxer tills can also pay out CashSend.
The ATM pays out the full amount in one go, so you can’t take part of it now and the rest later.
Fees, limits and speed
- Fees: free to receive. Absa charges the sender, and the bookmakers in our data don’t pass the cost on.
- Limits: Absa lists R5,000 per day and R25,000 per month for CashSend beneficiaries. A bookmaker’s own per-withdrawal cap may be lower.
- Speed: Hollywoodbets lists one to 24 hours for approval. After that the money is ready immediately.
- Expiry: collect promptly. Uncollected CashSend money is returned to the sender after a set period, which means you’d have to ask the bookmaker to re-credit your account.
Who it suits
CashSend suits players who live or work near an Absa ATM, or who shop at Pick n Pay or Boxer, and who want winnings in cash. It’s also a way to keep betting money out of your everyday bank account.
If your winnings are larger than R5,000, you’ll either split them over several days or take an EFT instead. For deposits, you’ll need something else entirely: a cash voucher such as 1Voucher or Blu Voucher, or an instant EFT like Ozow.
Pros and cons
Pros
- No bank account or card needed.
- Collect at Absa ATMs plus Pick n Pay and Boxer tills.
- Free for the player.
- Offered by two of South Africa’s biggest licensed bookmakers.
Cons
- Only a few bookmakers offer it.
- Withdrawal only.
- R5,000 daily limit.
- The reference and code work like cash, so keep them private.
Choosing a cash payout method
If you’re not sure which cash-send to use, pick by location. Instant Money has the widest network thanks to supermarket tills, FNB eWallet has the most bookmakers in our data, and CashSend is the best choice if an Absa ATM is closest. Hollywoodbets offers all four, which makes it the most flexible bookmaker for cash players. The full method list is on our payments page.
Cash in hand can make it easier to spend winnings on more bets. Set a budget before you play, use the deposit limits in your account, and call the NRGP on 0800 006 008 if gambling is causing problems.
