How to deposit with EasyPay Voucher

  1. Buy an EasyPay voucher with cash at a Kazang terminal or participating store
  2. Choose EasyPay on the bookmaker's deposit page
  3. Enter the voucher PIN and the amount
  4. Keep the slip until the deposit reflects

What the EasyPay voucher is

EasyPay is one of South Africa’s oldest payment brands. It started as a bill-payment network at supermarket tills and is now part of Lesaka Technologies, which also owns Kazang. The EasyPay voucher is Kazang’s general-purpose cash voucher: you pay cash at a counter, get a PIN, and use it to top up prepaid services or pay online merchants. Kazang says around 100,000 people use it.

For punters, it’s another way to deposit with cash. The voucher works at a small group of local bookmakers that have added EasyPay to their cashiers.

Where you can deposit with EasyPay

In our data four bookmakers accept EasyPay vouchers:

All four are licensed in South Africa. The big names, Betway and Hollywoodbets, don’t list EasyPay in our data, though both take other cash vouchers. Offshore casinos, including 1Win, don’t accept it.

How to buy and use an EasyPay voucher

  1. Find a store with a Kazang terminal. Most are spaza shops, taverns and small general dealers.
  2. Ask for an EasyPay voucher for the amount you want and pay cash.
  3. Keep the slip with the voucher PIN.
  4. Log in to your betting account and choose EasyPay on the deposit page.
  5. Enter the PIN and the amount. The deposit reflects immediately.

Not every Kazang shop sells every voucher type. If the shop doesn’t have EasyPay, ask for a Kazang betting voucher or an OTT Voucher instead; your bookmaker may accept those too.

Withdrawals

EasyPay vouchers can’t receive money. When you withdraw:

  1. Complete FICA verification (ID and proof of address).
  2. Choose bank EFT or another payout option on the withdrawal page. 10bet also pays out through Ozow.
  3. Wait for approval; EFTs take one to three business days to clear.

If you don’t have a bank account, a bookmaker with cash-send payouts, such as Hollywoodbets or Betway with FNB eWallet and Standard Bank Instant Money, may suit you better.

Fees, limits and speed

  • Fees: none from the bookmakers in our data.
  • Limits: R5 minimum at 10bet and R10 at Jabula Bets; the maximum is the voucher value.
  • Speed: instant.

Who it suits

EasyPay suits cash players at 10bet, Jabula Bets, Mzansibet or Gbets who have a Kazang shop nearby. The R5 minimum at 10bet is one of the lowest anywhere, which helps if you like to keep stakes small.

If your bookmaker isn’t on the list, there’s no reason to seek out EasyPay specifically; 1Voucher and Blu Voucher are accepted far more widely.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • No bank account or card needed.
  • Very low minimums (R5 at 10bet).
  • Instant, free deposits.
  • Backed by Lesaka, a large South African payments group.

Cons

  • Only four bookmakers in our data.
  • Deposit only.
  • Not every Kazang outlet stocks it.
  • Lost slips can’t be recovered by the bookmaker.

Alternatives

For cash deposits at more sites, use 1Voucher, OTT Voucher or Blu Voucher. Easyload and 1ForYou are other voucher options from Flash, and for bigger cash amounts 10bet also accepts a Cash deposit at a bank branch / ATM. See every method on our payments page.

Small deposits are a sensible way to bet, but they can add up over a week. Keep track of what you spend, set a deposit limit, and call the NRGP on 0800 006 008 if you need help.
