The main welcome offer works differently from a normal match, so read the order of the steps:

1. Deposit at least R99.
2. Bet your deposit 4 times on sports at odds of 3.0 or more.

In Rands: deposit R1,000, bet R4,000 on sports at 3.0+, and you can claim a R1,500 bonus bet. To reach the full R5,000 bonus bet, you’d deposit about R3,333 and bet about R13,333 first.

Two things to know:

• You bet first and get the bonus afterwards. The wagering is up front, on your own money, at odds where you’ll lose most bets. Only claim this if that volume of betting is normal for you.
• You have to ask for it. It isn’t credited automatically, so keep a note of your qualifying bets.

Easybet’s regular promotions are the reason many punters stay:

Cashback and losing-leg refunds return money on bets you’ve already lost. That’s real value, but it doesn’t change the fact that the bookmaker keeps an edge on every bet.

Odds and margins

Easybet prices main markets in line with its provincially licensed rivals. The bigger picture is that its promotions effectively improve your returns. Weekly cashback and losing-leg refunds give back part of the margin you’d otherwise pay. For a regular punter, 15% back on a losing week is worth more than a few cents of better odds on a single bet. Easybet has in-play betting on football, tennis, cricket and the other main sports, with live odds and score updates. How the losing leg refund works

The losing leg refund is Easybet’s most unusual promotion, and it’s easy to misread. It applies to multibets of seven or more legs, each at odds of 1.35 or more. If every leg wins except one, Easybet gives back part of your stake. The refund is between 50% of the stake and 10 times the stake, depending on the size of the multi.

An example: you place R20 on an eight-leg weekend multi. Seven legs win and one draws when you needed a win. Without the promotion you’d lose R20. With it, you get back part of your stake or more, depending on the number of legs. Read the current table on Easybet’s promotions page before you build the slip. The refund doesn’t change the odds of all eight legs landing, which is still small. What it does is soften the most frustrating kind of loss.
