Gates of Olympus Super Scatter slot demo

What Gates of Olympus Super Scatter is

Gates of Olympus is one of Pragmatic Play’s best-known slots, and the Super Scatter edition, released in 2025, is the newest twist on it. Zeus still floats beside a six-reel, five-row grid of gems and treasures, and the core mechanics are the same as in Gates of Olympus. The change is one new symbol: the Super Scatter.

South Africans search for “gates of olympus super scatter demo in rands” a lot. The demo on this page is Pragmatic’s own, and it usually shows amounts in rands. It is still fun money.

How a round works

• Pay anywhere: there are no paylines. Eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid win.
• Tumbles: winning symbols disappear and new ones drop in, so one spin can produce several wins in a row.
• Multiplier orbs: Zeus can drop orbs with multipliers on any spin. When the tumbling sequence ends, all orb values on screen are added together and applied to the total win of that spin.

The Super Scatter and free spins

Regular scatters trigger the free spins as usual. The Super Scatter is a rarer version that can land with them. When it does, it pays an instant prize on top of triggering the bonus, and that prize is what lifts the maximum win to 50000 times your stake.

In the free spins, multiplier orbs don’t reset between tumbles in the same way as the base game: they build into a running total multiplier, which is where most of the big wins come from. More scatters during the round add extra spins. A bonus buy is available at casinos and in regions that allow it.

RTP and volatility

The RTP is 96.5%. That is around the industry average. Pragmatic offers casinos lower-RTP versions of many games too, so check the info screen at your casino.

Volatility is high. Expect many spins that return nothing or a fraction of the stake, and a bonus round that can pay very little or a lot. The top win shown in the game facts is a theoretical ceiling, reached extremely rarely.

Honest tips

• Compare the versions in demo. The original, Gates of Olympus 1000 and Gates of Olympus 1000 Dice all share the same base. Try them side by side before choosing one to play for real.
• Bonus buy is expensive. It costs a large multiple of your stake for one feature that can pay back less. If you buy, do it in the demo first.
• Size your bets for dry runs. High volatility needs a budget that can handle 200 spins with little return.
• No orb strategy exists. Where the orbs land is random.
