How BGaming Plinko works

BGaming was one of the first studios to bring provably fair games from crypto casinos into regular ones, and its Plinko dates from 2019. A pyramid of pins sits above a row of slots, each with a multiplier.

1. Choose your stake.
2. Choose the number of rows of pins and a risk level (low, medium or high).
3. Drop the ball. At each row it bounces left or right with equal chance.
4. Get paid the multiplier of the slot where it lands.

Because each bounce is a coin-flip, balls cluster in the middle, where the multipliers are smallest. The edge slots, reached only by bouncing the same way nearly every time, pay the most.

RTP and risk

BGaming publishes an RTP of 99% for Plinko. That is remarkably high: you lose, on average, only about R1 per R100 staked. It’s the main reason to choose this version over others.

The risk level changes the shape of the payouts, not the RTP:

• Low risk: middle slots pay close to your stake, edges pay modestly.
• High risk: middle slots pay a fraction of your stake, edges pay up to 1000x.

More rows spread outcomes further, making the edges rarer and bigger.

The odds in plain words

With 8 rows, there are 256 possible paths. One path leads to each edge slot, so each has a 1 in 256 chance. The middle slot has 70 paths, about 27%. With 16 rows, an edge slot is 1 in 65,536. The multipliers are set from these chances so the return stays at the published RTP.

How to verify a drop

BGaming’s provably fair check follows the standard pattern:

1. Before the drop, the game shows a hashed server seed.
2. Your client seed is added; you can usually change it in the fairness settings.
3. The seeds (with a nonce for each drop) produce the left/right decisions at each row.
4. After the drop, the server seed is revealed. Hash it, compare it with the earlier hash, and recompute the path.

Our provably fair verifier walks through the steps.

Honest tips

• High RTP, still a house edge. A 1% edge is small, but on fast auto-drops it still adds up.
• Choose risk for fun, not profit. Every level has the same return.
• Set a drop limit. Plinko can drop balls very quickly.
• Check bonus terms. High-RTP games are often excluded from wagering or count at a low rate.
