Hi Lo demo
Hi Lo is Spribe's provably fair card game: a card is shown and you guess whether the next one is higher or lower. Each correct guess raises the multiplier, and you can cash out or skip a card at any time. The RTP is the same on every guess.

How Hi Lo works
Hi Lo from Spribe turns the old “higher or lower” card game into a quick casino game.
- Set your stake. A card is dealt face up.
- Guess whether the next card will be higher or lower (some versions also let you bet on “same”).
- If you’re right, the multiplier goes up and you can guess again, cash out, or skip the next card.
- If you’re wrong, the round ends and your bet is lost.
Aces are low, kings are high. The cards are dealt from an endless deck, so a card you’ve seen can appear again.
The odds in plain words
The multiplier for each guess comes from its chance of being right. If an ace is showing, “higher” wins on almost every card, so it pays very little. If a seven is showing, both guesses are close to 50/50 and pay close to 2x.
Spribe prices every guess to the same RTP, 97%. That means the obvious guess and the brave guess have the same long-run value. Chaining guesses multiplies the risk as well as the reward: three 50/50 guesses in a row succeed only about one time in eight.
Features
- Skip: swap a card at no cost if you don’t like the odds.
- Cash out at any step.
- Live multiplier for each possible guess, shown before you choose.
- History with provably fair details for every round.
How to verify a Hi Lo round
Hi Lo uses Spribe’s provably fair system:
- Before you play, the game shows the hash of the server seed, which fixes the card sequence.
- Your client seed (editable in settings) and a nonce are added.
- The combined hash produces each card in turn.
- After the round, the server seed is revealed. Hash it with SHA-256, compare it with the hash you saw earlier, and recompute the cards.
Our provably fair verifier helps with the hashing.
Honest tips
- Skipping is free; use it. It doesn’t change the RTP but keeps you out of guesses you don’t want.
- Decide your number of guesses before you start. Hi Lo is built to tempt “one more”.
- Card counting doesn’t work. With an endless deck, past cards don’t affect future ones.
- Small multipliers add up to the same edge. Guessing “higher” on an ace is not a free win.
