What qualifies for this list

A casino is listed if it offers provably fair games, either its own “originals” or third-party provably fair titles, as recorded in our data. In practice that means the crypto-first casinos and 1Win, which have built their own Mines, Plinko, Dice, Limbo and crash games. Brands we haven’t checked yet sit under “still being confirmed” below the ranking.

Provably fair games are a separate category from slots. Instead of reels and paylines, they are simple, fast games where you choose your risk:

• Mines: pick tiles on a grid and avoid the mines; each safe tile raises the multiplier.
• Plinko: drop a ball through pegs into prize slots; you choose how many rows and how risky the payouts are.
• Dice and Limbo Rider: pick a target number or multiplier and see whether the roll beats it.
• Hi Lo and Keno: classic games rebuilt with verifiable results.

How provably fair works

Each result is made from three ingredients:

1. A server seed, chosen by the casino and shown to you only as a hash before you play.
2. A client seed, which you can change in the game settings.
3. A nonce, the number of the bet.

Together they produce the result. When you rotate your seed, the casino reveals the old server seed, and you can check that hashing it gives the hash you were shown, and that the seeds produce the results you got. Our provably fair verifier does the maths in your browser.

Checking a result yourself

You don’t need to understand cryptography to verify a bet. At most provably fair casinos it works like this:

1. Before you play, open the game’s fairness settings. Note the hashed server seed and your client seed. Change the client seed to something of your own if you like.
2. Play your rounds. Each bet uses the next nonce: 1, 2, 3 and so on.
3. Rotate the seed pair. The casino reveals the old server seed in plain text and starts a new one.
4. Check the hash. Hashing the revealed server seed should give exactly the hash you were shown before you played. If it does, the casino couldn’t have changed it.
5. Recalculate the results. Enter the server seed, client seed and nonce into our verifier, choose the game, and compare the result with your bet history.

If a casino doesn’t let you see or change your client seed, or never reveals old server seeds, its games aren’t provably fair in any useful sense, whatever the lobby says.

The trade-offs

Being able to verify results is a real advantage over slots, where you have to trust the studio and the test lab. But keep two things in mind:

• The house edge is still there. Provably fair means “not tampered with”, not “favourable”. Most originals return roughly 96% to 99% over time.
• The casinos are offshore. Almost all provably fair casinos hold offshore licences. Verifiable games don’t protect you from a casino that delays withdrawals or closes accounts. Read our crypto casinos list for more on that risk.

Terms to watch

• Rakeback and bonuses on originals. Many crypto casinos count originals towards wagering at a reduced rate, or exclude them. Check before you claim a deposit match.
• Seed rotation. You can only verify a result after the server seed is revealed. Rotate your seed from time to time if you want to check your bets.
• High-risk settings. Plinko and Mines let you choose very high multipliers. Big multipliers are rare by design; the expected return stays the same.
