No wagering bonuses
A no wagering bonus pays its winnings as cash you can withdraw straight away, or after betting them just once. In South Africa that means wager-free spins (Betway, 10bet, SuperSportBet), cashback paid as cash (1Win, Easybet) and crypto rakeback (Duelbits). Most still cap what you can win.

What counts as a no wagering bonus
Most casino bonuses come with a wagering requirement: you must bet the bonus 5, 30 or 40 times before you can withdraw. A no wagering bonus skips that. What you win is yours.
This page includes offers with wagering of 1x or less, because a single turnover costs very little. In our data, they fall into four groups:
- Wager-free spins. Betway’s 10 spins and 10 Aviator flights, 10bet’s 100 sign-up spins, SuperSportBet’s 100 deposit spins, and Duelbits’ Rookie Rush spins (crypto).
- Cash cashback. 1Win’s weekly casino cashback is credited to the main balance, according to summaries of its promotion terms; Easybet’s 15% cashback has 1x.
- Rakeback. A share of the house edge back on every bet, paid instantly at crypto casinos such as Duelbits, BC.Game, Rollbit and Gamdom.
- 1x free bets. Gbets’, Hollywoodbets’ and Lucky Fish’s sign-up bets, and BetXchange’s first-deposit match.
What no wagering saves you
Worked example
Two offers each give 100 spins at 20c on a 96% RTP slot, so about R19.20 in expected winnings.
Offer A, 30x wagering: you must bet R576. At a 4% house edge that costs about R23 on average, more than the winnings. Expected value: roughly zero.
Offer B, no wagering: the R19.20 is cash. Expected value: R19.20, up to the cap.
The no-wagering offer is worth all of its play value; the 30x one is worth almost none. That’s why a modest no-wagering offer often beats a bigger-looking one. Try any offer in our bonus value calculator.
Worked example: cashback
Lose R2,000 net on slots in a week at a casino paying 10% cashback with no wagering, and R200 lands in your cash balance. At 1Win the rate rises with your weekly betting, up to 30% for the heaviest players. It softens a losing week; it never turns one into a profit.
How to claim a no wagering bonus
- Pick the offer from the table above.
- Check what triggers it: registration (10bet), a deposit (SuperSportBet), a qualifying bet (Betway), or simply playing (cashback and rakeback).
- Register and verify your SA ID; crypto casinos may ask for less at sign-up but can request ID before larger withdrawals.
- Opt in if the promotion asks you to.
- Use the spins or bets before they expire; Betway’s spins and flights last seven days.
- Withdraw winnings once any minimum deposit or single turnover is done.
Terms that trip people up
- Caps still apply. 10bet caps sign-up spin winnings at R400; SuperSportBet at R5,000.
- A qualifying action. “No wagering” doesn’t mean “no deposit”. Betway’s spins need an R50 deposit and a 5-leg multi first.
- Cash-out rules on Aviator flights. Betway’s free flights only count if you cash out at 1.5x or higher.
- Cashback is on net losses. Wins during the week reduce it, and some operators exclude bonus play.
- Rakeback depends on VIP level. Duelbits advertises up to 60%, but new players start far lower.
- Currency. Crypto rakeback is paid in the coin you played with, so its Rand value moves.

More spins with light terms are on 100 free spins. Cashback offers in full are on cashback bonuses, and rakeback on crypto bonuses and rakeback.
When a wagered bonus is still worth it
Low wagering is nearly as good as none. A 5x deposit bonus, such as Wanejobets’ or Supabets’, keeps most of its value and is much larger than any no-wagering offer. The ones to avoid are 30x to 40x bonuses you’d struggle to clear at your normal pace.
How to spot real no-wagering terms
Bonus pages sometimes say “no wagering” in the headline and something else in the small print. Look for three things: whether winnings go to your cash balance or a bonus balance, whether there’s a cashout cap, and whether a deposit is needed before withdrawal. If winnings land in a bonus balance with a playthrough, it’s not a no-wagering offer, whatever the banner says.
A note on “no wagering, no deposit”
It’s one of the most searched combinations, and it exists in a limited form: 10bet’s sign-up spins need no deposit to claim and carry no wagering on winnings. What you can’t find, from any legitimate operator, is unlimited free money. There’s always a cap, a deposit before withdrawal, or both, and that is reasonable. Use these offers to try a site at no cost, not as income.
Whatever the terms, keep to your budget and use the deposit limits in your account. Free help is available from the NRGP on 0800 006 008.
Frequently asked questions
Are there free spins with no wagering in South Africa?
Yes. 10bet's 100 sign-up spins, SuperSportBet's 100 first-deposit spins and Betway's 10 spins on 12 Masks of Fire Drums are listed with no wagering on winnings. Each has a cashout cap or a qualifying deposit.
What does 'no wagering' actually mean?
That winnings from the bonus are paid as real money rather than bonus money, so you don't have to bet them a set number of times before withdrawing. Other conditions, such as a cap or a deposit before withdrawal, may still apply.
Is 1x wagering the same as no wagering?
Nearly. 1x means you bet the bonus or winnings once before they become cash. Gbets, Hollywoodbets and Lucky Fish use 1x on their sign-up bonuses, which we list here alongside true wager-free offers.
Is cashback a no wagering bonus?
Often. 1Win credits its weekly casino cashback to the main balance rather than a bonus wallet, and Easybet's cashback has 1x. Others pay cashback as bonus funds with wagering, so check each card.
Why are no wagering bonuses smaller?
Because almost all of their value reaches the player. A R100 no-wagering bonus is worth about R100; a R100 bonus at 40x is worth very little on average, so operators can afford to advertise bigger numbers on the latter.
