BetJets is a Western Cape-licensed bookmaker launched in 2024 that matches a first deposit 100% up to R1,000, with a 7x rollover, from as little as R10. It integrates TAB's tote pools for racing and soccer, streams races for free and offers partial cash-out from 10% to 90%. There's no native app, only a home-screen shortcut.

BetJets at a glance
BetJets is a young South African bookmaker. It launched in February 2024 with a Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board licence, number 10091157-108, and has built its pitch around racing and live betting tools rather than a big bonus:
- TAB’s tote pools inside your BetJets account, for racing and soccer
- free live streams of horse races
- full and partial cash-out
- a low-entry welcome match from R10
It also runs a small casino of about 700 games. That’s modest next to the thousands of titles at casino-first brands, but BetJets is clearly built for bettors, and the casino is an extra rather than the point. The welcome match is a sports offer, so you don’t need to touch the casino at all. What it lacks, according to reviews, is a native app, esports, virtual sports and modern tools such as a bet builder. This review looks at each part in turn.
The welcome bonus
BetJets matches your first deposit 100% up to not published. The terms:
- Minimum deposit: not published
- Rollover: not publishedx the bonus
- Minimum odds: not published
- Time limit: not published
What it costs to clear
A 7x rollover on the full R1,000 bonus means R7,000 in qualifying bets. That’s manageable for regular punters, especially without a short time limit in our data. A R200 deposit earns a R200 bonus and needs R1,400 in bets: a few weeks of normal racing and football betting for many people.
The R10 entry point makes BetJets one of the cheapest places to try a matched bonus. A R10 deposit gets you R10 extra, which needs R70 of betting. It won’t change your life, but it’s a low-risk way to learn how rollovers work.
Check two things in the full terms before you opt in: the minimum odds for qualifying bets, and the time limit, neither of which is in our data. The wagering calculator shows your target for any deposit.
Tote pools for racing and soccer
BetJets’ standout feature is that TAB’s tote pools are built into the account. You don’t need a separate TAB login to play the pool bets South African racing fans love:
- Racing exotics: Exactas, Trifectas, Quartets, Swingers, the Place Accumulator, Pick 6 and Jackpot
- Soccer pools: reviews highlight tote pools for soccer, the format behind TAB’s Soccer 6, Soccer 10 and Soccer 13
Pool dividends depend on how much is bet and how many people win, so you don’t know the payout until the pool closes. Perms (several selections per leg) multiply the cost quickly: two horses in each leg of a Pick 6 is 64 combinations. Work out the cost before you confirm.
For the pools’ home, see our TAB (Tabonline) review.
Fixed-odds racing and free streams
Alongside the tote, BetJets offers fixed-odds racing on:
- South African meetings: Turffontein, Greyville, Scottsville, Kenilworth and Fairview
- International racing: the UK, Ireland, France, Australia and Hong Kong
Reviews say race streams are free to watch, and one describes the app shortcut’s racing as buffer-free. Streaming isn’t common at smaller South African bookmakers, so this is a genuine plus. Compare BetJets with other racing specialists on our horse racing betting sites list.
Football and other sports
Reviews praise BetJets for deep soccer coverage, and soccer pools add another way to bet on football. Our market data confirms racing for BetJets; for football, expect the main leagues including the PSL and EPL. Rugby and cricket aren’t confirmed in our data, so check the sportsbook menu if you bet on them.
According to the same review:
- there are no virtual sports or esports
- there’s no bet builder and no early payout feature
If you like building same-game bets, a bigger bookmaker from our PSL betting sites list will suit you better.
Odds
We don’t have price comparisons for BetJets. On tote bets the pool sets the price; on fixed-odds markets, compare a few of your regular bets with another site. Use the odds converter if you prefer fractions.
Live betting and cash-out
BetJets offers in-play betting, and its cash-out is more flexible than most:
- Full cash-out: settle the whole bet early at the offered value
- Partial cash-out: choose to take between 10% and 90% of the cash-out value and leave the rest of your bet running
Partial cash-out is useful on a multi where most legs have won: you can bank some profit and keep a stake on the last leg. Remember that every cash-out offer includes a margin, so using it on every bet costs money over time. See how it compares on our live betting list.
Mobile: a shortcut, not an app
There’s no BetJets app in Google Play or the App Store. Reviews describe:
- an Android home-screen shortcut that opens the mobile site
- an iOS web app (PWA), added to your home screen from Safari
Both open BetJets in one tap and feel close to an app. One review reports slow loading and freezing on mobile at times, which matters most during live betting. If a native app is important, compare our betting apps list.
Payments and withdrawals
Our payments research has little on BetJets. The main thing reported is instant SMS voucher withdrawals, where winnings are sent to your phone as a voucher code by SMS. That’s quick and handy if you don’t want payouts in your bank account. Check where and how the voucher can be redeemed before you choose it.
Deposit methods aren’t documented in our data. Expect common South African options such as instant EFT and vouchers, and check the cashier before you register. Payout times for bank withdrawals aren’t published. Complete FICA straight after you sign up.
Licence and safety
BetJets holds a Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board licence, 10091157-108. That means FICA, regulated bet settlement and a complaints route to the board. Offshore sites don’t offer that.
At under three years old, BetJets has a short track record, but nothing in our data suggests payout problems.

Who BetJets suits
BetJets is a strong fit if you:
- bet on South African racing every week and want to watch the races free
- play exotic tote bets or soccer pools but also want fixed odds in the same account
- like taking part of a winning multi off the table with partial cash-out
- want to try a matched bonus with as little as R10
It’s a weaker fit if you want a native app, bet on esports or virtuals, or like building same-game bets.
Verification and support
BetJets must verify you before paying out, like every licensed bookmaker. Upload your ID and a recent proof of address on the day you register. Our data doesn’t list BetJets’ support channels or hours, so find the contact page before you need it. With pool bets especially, keep a screenshot of every ticket until it’s settled.
Pools, perms and staying in control
Tote exotics and soccer pools are where punters most often spend more than they planned. A single perm can cost hundreds of Rands, and a carryover jackpot makes it tempting to go bigger. Before you play:
- decide a weekly budget for pool bets and keep it separate from your other betting
- price each perm on the bet slip before you confirm it
- remember that most Pick 6 and Soccer 13 tickets lose, even well-built ones
Use the deposit limits in your BetJets account, and read our responsible gambling page for the other tools licensed bookmakers must provide.
How to sign up
- Register on betjets.co.za with your SA ID, phone number and email.
- Upload your ID and proof of address for FICA.
- Deposit from R10 and opt in to the 100% match.
- Add the site to your home screen for one-tap access.
Verdict
BetJets punches above its age for racing fans. TAB pools in the same account, free race streams and partial cash-out from 10% to 90% are features many bigger bookmakers don’t match. The R1,000 match at 7x is modest but achievable, from a very low R10.
The gaps:
- no native app, and reports of slow mobile loading
- no esports, virtuals or bet builder
- payment methods poorly documented
- a short track record
As a racing and pools account, BetJets is a good pick. For a broad sportsbook, pair it with a bookmaker from our best betting sites list.
Bet only with money you can afford to lose, and keep pool perms small. The NRGP helpline is free on 0800 006 008.
