What Sweet 16 Blast is

Sweet 16 Blast is a 2022 slot from RealTime Gaming, the long-running studio behind most of the casinos that market themselves to South Africans in rands, such as Springbok Casino and Yebo Casino. It takes the candy theme of RTG’s earlier Sweet 16 and moves it to a modern cluster-pays grid: six reels of sweets, lollipops and jelly beans.

How a round works

There are no paylines. You win when a cluster of matching symbols forms, meaning enough identical symbols touch each other horizontally or vertically. Bigger clusters pay more.

Cascades keep the spin going. Winning clusters are removed, the symbols above fall down, and new symbols fill the gaps. If a new cluster forms, it pays too, and the process repeats until no new wins appear. A single spin can produce a long chain.

Free spins and bonus buy

Scatter symbols trigger free spins, and a multiplier applies to wins during the round. More scatters in the feature give additional free spins. Cascades and multipliers together are what lift the game’s maximum win to 50000 times your stake, a very high number that very few players will ever see.

A bonus buy lets you start free spins directly for a fixed price, where the casino allows it.

RTP and volatility in plain words

The RTP is 96.25%, which is a little above the average. RTG casinos sometimes use different RTP settings, so check the game info.

RTG hasn’t published a volatility rating we’ve confirmed. A cluster-pays game with a top win this high almost always behaves as high volatility: frequent small cascades, rare huge rounds.

Honest tips

• Cascades flatter the screen. A chain of small wins can add up to less than your stake. Keep an eye on your balance.
• Bonus buys don’t beat the RTP. Buying free spins is a shortcut to the feature, not to profit.
• RTG casino bonuses are big but heavily wagered. Springbok, Yebo and similar sites advertise large welcome packages. Run the terms through our wagering calculator to see what clearing them really costs in Rands.
• Offshore means no provincial complaint route. RTG casinos are licensed outside South Africa. Keep your play within a budget you’re comfortable losing.

About RTG casinos

RealTime Gaming powers a group of casinos that target South Africans directly, with rand accounts, large match bonuses and regular no deposit codes published on their own sites. They’re licensed offshore. That doesn’t mean they don’t pay, but it does mean you can’t escalate a dispute to a South African provincial board, so read the withdrawal terms (minimums, weekly caps and verification) before you deposit.

How it compares

If you like candy cluster games, Pragmatic’s Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush are the best-known alternatives, with free demos on this site at Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush. Those are pay-anywhere and cluster games with multipliers and are carried by SA-licensed sites like Betway and Hollywoodbets.
