How a round works
Sugar Rush is a gummy-bears-and-jelly-beans slot from Pragmatic Play, played on a 7×7 grid. There are no lines. Five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically form a cluster and pay. Winning clusters explode, the symbols above tumble down, and new ones drop in, so a single spin can produce several wins.
The grid remembers where symbols exploded. That memory is the game’s main feature.
Multiplier spots
The first explosion on a position marks it with a faint outline. A second explosion on the same position turns the outline into a 2x multiplier. Every further explosion doubles it: 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x, and finally 128x. If a winning cluster covers several multiplier spots, their values are added together and applied to that win.
In the base game, all marks clear at the end of each spin. In free spins they stay for the whole round, so the grid can fill with multipliers.
Features
- Cluster pays with tumbles.
- Multiplier spots doubling to 128x.
- Free spins: three or more scatters award free spins with persistent spots; more scatters give more spins.
- Buy feature: where allowed, buy straight into free spins.
The top win is 5000x the stake.
RTP and volatility
The published RTP is 95.5%. Pragmatic Play offers casinos other versions, so check the paytable.
High volatility means the base game is mostly quiet, and the result of a session usually depends on whether free spins build spots in the middle of the grid early. It is less extreme than Sugar Rush 1000, which makes it a better choice if you want longer sessions on the same balance.
Honest tips
- Spots on the edge are worth less. Clusters form more easily in the middle, so central multipliers get used more. You can’t control this; it just explains the results.
- A good free spins round is rare. Most bonuses pay modestly. Plan your budget around that.
- Start with the demo. It shows how quickly spots build before you put money down.
- Buying is expensive. A bought round has the same random outcome as one you trigger yourself.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a Sugar Rush demo?
Yes, the demo on this page is Pragmatic Play's fun-mode version, playable in Rands with no sign-up.
How do the multipliers work in Sugar Rush?
When a winning symbol explodes, its spot is marked. Another explosion on that spot creates a 2x multiplier, and each one after that doubles it, up to 128x. In free spins the spots stay for the whole round.
Should I play Sugar Rush or Sugar Rush 1000?
Sugar Rush caps multiplier spots at 128x and has a lower maximum win, so it swings less. Sugar Rush 1000 goes up to 1,000x per spot and suits players who want bigger, rarer wins.
How do I get free spins in Sugar Rush?
Land three or more scatters anywhere on the grid. More scatters give more free spins, and you can buy the round where your casino allows it.
