Spaceman demo
Spaceman is Pragmatic Play's crash game: an astronaut floats into space, the multiplier climbs, and you cash out before he flies off. Its stand-out feature is the 50% cash-out, which banks half your bet and lets the rest ride. It launched in South Africa with 10bet in 2023.

How a round of Spaceman works
Spaceman is Pragmatic Play’s crash game, released in March 2022. Instead of a plane, an astronaut drifts up through space. The rules are the same as any crash game:
- Bet during the countdown.
- Lift-off: the Spaceman rises and the multiplier climbs from 1.00x.
- Cash out: press the button to win your stake times the current multiplier.
- Fly-off: at a random point he flies away. Any bet still in play is lost.
Rounds are short, the graphics are clean, and the live panel shows what other players are betting and cashing out.
The 50% cash-out
What makes Spaceman different is the half cash-out. At any point you can cash out 50% of your bet at the current multiplier, and leave the other half running. For example, with a R20 bet you could cash out R10 at 2x (R20 back) and let the other R10 chase a higher number. If he flies off, you still have R20.
This doesn’t change the odds; the RTP is the same. It is a tool for managing swings, and it removes some of the “should I wait?” stress.
Features
- 50% and 100% cash-out.
- Auto cash-out: set a target and the game does it for you, including at a separate target for the second half.
- Two bets per round in many casino versions.
- Live bets and chat.
The top multiplier is capped at 5000x.
RTP and what it means
Spaceman’s RTP is 96.5%, a little below Aviator’s. In crash terms, the chance of reaching a target multiplier is about the RTP divided by the target: roughly 48% at 2x, 19% at 5x and under 10% at 10x. Every strategy returns the same in the long run. Our crash probability calculator shows the numbers for any target.
Is Spaceman provably fair?
No. Spaceman runs on Pragmatic Play’s random number generator, certified by testing labs. You can’t hash a round yourself as you can in Aviator. That doesn’t make it unfair; it means you rely on the lab certificate and the casino’s licence, rather than your own check.
Honest tips
- Use the half cash-out to stay disciplined, not to chase. Bank half at a modest target, then let the rest go to a pre-set second target with auto cash-out.
- Short rounds add up. Thirty rounds of R20 is R600 staked in a few minutes. Set your budget in Rands.
- There are no patterns. Recent results don’t predict the next round.
- Remember the cap. The game stops at the maximum multiplier.
