Mostbet casino review
Mostbet is a Curaçao-licensed offshore casino and sportsbook that appears to accept South Africans in Rands, but its SA offer and banking aren't confirmed. Sources disagree on the welcome bonus (125% up to R7,000 or 150% up to R8,000), crypto deposits are usually excluded from it, and there's no South African licence.

Who Mostbet suits, and the honest caveat
Mostbet is a big international betting and casino brand, especially well known in South Asia, Eastern Europe and parts of Africa. It holds a Curaçao licence, runs a large casino with live dealers and a sportsbook strong on cricket, football and esports.
Our data lists Mostbet as accepting South African players with Rand accounts. What we can’t confirm is the detail that matters most: the current South African welcome offer, the payment methods available to South Africans, and support channels. Affiliate pages disagree with each other, and we couldn’t verify them against Mostbet’s own site.
So this review is partly a checklist. It tells you what’s known, what’s conflicting and what to confirm yourself before depositing.
Mostbet may suit you if you’re an experienced offshore player who reads terms carefully. If you want certainty, start with a locally licensed brand from our SA-licensed casinos list, or 1Win, our featured casino, which takes Rands and local payment methods.
The welcome offer: what the sources say
The card above shows the version in our data, marked “terms being rechecked”:
- Match: 125% on the first deposit, up to R7,000.
- Wagering: 5x the bonus, on accumulators with three or more legs at odds of 1.4 or more.
- Exclusion: crypto deposits are excluded.
Other pages give different numbers:
- some list 150% up to R8,000 instead of 125% up to R7,000;
- one affiliate page lists a R15 minimum deposit;
- several pages tie extra free spins (up to 250) to a promo code, saying that without the code you get only the base bonus.
Why the conflict matters
When offers vary like this, it usually means one of three things: the offer changed recently, it differs by country or by registration route, or affiliate pages are advertising their own enhanced versions. Any of the three can leave you expecting a bonus that doesn’t appear in your account.
What 5x on accumulators means
If the 125% version is current, a R1,000 deposit brings R1,250 of bonus funds, and 5x means R6,250 of accumulator bets. Three-leg accumulators at 1.40 per leg have combined odds of about 2.74, and they lose more often than singles. Expect to finish the wagering with less than the full bonus, if any. On a R100 deposit (R125 bonus) the wagering is a manageable R625.
The casino side
One affiliate page says casino bonus wagering is 35x on eligible slots within 30 days per deposit. On a R1,000 casino bonus that is R35,000 of spins, with an expected loss of about R1,400 on a 96% RTP slot: more than the bonus. We can’t confirm the South African casino terms, so treat that figure as a warning sign rather than a fact.
About promo codes
Codes such as the ones you’ll see on other sites belong to those sites. They track sign-ups for their owners, and we don’t use other affiliates’ codes. If Mostbet’s own site shows a public code, use that.
Our wagering calculator turns any of these offers into Rands once you have the real terms.
Games and studios
Our data doesn’t list Mostbet’s studios or game count. Reviews describe a large lobby with:
- Slots from many international studios, typically including big names such as Pragmatic Play and Play'n GO;
- Live casino with roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game shows;
- Crash games: Mostbet is known for promoting Aviator, and carries other multiplier games such as JetX;
- Sports: cricket, the Premier League and esports, with the PSL less certain in our data.
Use the search and filters, check RTPs in the game info panels, and practise in demo mode where you can. Our crash games section explains how Aviator-style games work.
Deposits, withdrawals and verification
Our data has no confirmed payment methods for Mostbet in South Africa. Brand data lists crypto as supported, and the welcome terms note crypto deposits are excluded from the bonus, which suggests other methods exist. But we can’t tell you which ones South Africans will see.
Before depositing:
- Register, select Rands, and open the cashier.
- Note the deposit methods, and especially the withdrawal methods, with their minimums and limits.
- Check whether your chosen deposit method qualifies for the bonus.
- Make a small first deposit and try a small withdrawal before you play with more.
Verification
Mostbet runs its own identity checks rather than South African FICA. Expect requests for ID, proof of address and possibly a selfie or proof of payment, particularly before larger withdrawals. Complete them early.
What a small test looks like
A test doesn’t need to be elaborate. Deposit R100 without a bonus, place a few small bets so the deposit isn’t sitting untouched (some sites query withdrawals of unplayed deposits), then request a R100 withdrawal by the method you’d use for real winnings. Note how long it takes, what documents you’re asked for and whether any fee is deducted. If the money arrives cleanly, you’ve learned what you need. If it doesn’t, you’ve lost little and saved yourself a bigger problem.
Costs to watch
If you end up using crypto or an e-wallet, each conversion and transfer can cost a fee. Small deposits lose a bigger share to fees, so a R15 deposit is rarely sensible even where it’s allowed.
Mobile
Mostbet is known internationally for its mobile app, but our data doesn’t record its app status for South Africa. If an Android app is offered as a direct download, install it only from Mostbet’s official site and turn off unknown-source installs afterwards. The mobile website is the safer starting point while you check the site out.
For locally licensed apps on Google Play and the App Store, see our mobile casinos list.
Mostbet against other offshore brands
Mostbet isn’t part of the 1xBet family, but South African players often compare it with those sites because the offers look alike. In our data:
- PariPesa has a confirmed 100% sports bonus up to R2,000 at 5x over 30 days, simpler and better documented than Mostbet’s.
- 22Bet confirms Skrill and Neteller deposits, which Mostbet’s data doesn’t.
- Melbet offers a 200% sports match up to R3,400, larger in percentage terms.
Mostbet’s possible 125% to 150% match sits in the same range. Its real differentiator would be its app and its cricket and esports depth, if those matter to you. On documentation, it currently trails the others.
When to walk away
Offshore sites need a little more scepticism than licensed ones. Stop and reconsider if:
- the bonus in your account doesn’t match the one you screenshotted at sign-up;
- a withdrawal is held for verification after you’ve already supplied every document asked for;
- support gives different answers to the same question on different days;
- you’re asked to deposit more to “unlock” a withdrawal. A legitimate casino never needs a further deposit to release money you’ve already won.
The last one is a red flag at any site. If you see it, don’t send more money; save your evidence and stop playing there.
Support and safety
- Licence: Curaçao eGaming, not South African.
- SA availability: accepted in our data, with offer and banking unconfirmed.
- Support: our data doesn’t list Mostbet’s support channels for South Africa.
- Disputes: no provincial board can help. Keep screenshots of the offer page as it looked when you deposited, plus your bets, balances and chats.
That last point is worth repeating for any brand with shifting offers: a screenshot of the terms on the day you sign up is your best evidence if the bonus you were promised doesn’t arrive.
Mostbet can apply limits and self-exclusion on request. If gambling is causing harm, call the free South African Responsible Gambling helpline on 0800 006 008, or see our responsible gambling page.
Verdict
Mostbet is a large, established offshore casino and sportsbook with a big lobby and a well-known mobile product. For South Africans, though, too much is unclear: the welcome offer varies between sources, our data confirms no local payment methods, and there’s no South African licence or dispute route.
We’ve scored it cautiously for that reason. The games and mobile scores reflect a large international product; the bonus, payouts and trust scores reflect how little of the South African picture we can confirm. As the offer and banking are verified, those scores can move.
If you’re tempted, treat it as an experiment: check the cashier, screenshot the offer, deposit a small amount and test a withdrawal before going further. If you’d rather not do the homework, a licensed South African casino will give you a clear bonus, Ozow or voucher deposits and FICA-backed payouts. Compare the options below.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Mostbet welcome bonus in South Africa?
Sources conflict. One lists 125% up to R7,000 on the first deposit with 5x wagering on accumulators of three or more legs at 1.40+, others say 150% up to R8,000. Crypto deposits are usually excluded. Check Mostbet's own promotions page before you deposit.
Is Mostbet available in South Africa?
Our data lists Mostbet as accepting South Africans with Rand accounts, but we haven't confirmed its South African payment methods or current offer. It isn't licensed by any South African provincial board.
Is Mostbet legit?
Mostbet is a large international brand operating under a Curaçao licence. That makes it a real offshore operator, but South African players have no local regulator to turn to in a dispute.
Do I need a Mostbet promo code?
Several websites advertise Mostbet codes that they say unlock extra free spins. Those codes belong to other affiliate sites. We don't publish them, and you should read Mostbet's own terms to see what the standard offer includes.
Can I use crypto for the Mostbet bonus?
Usually not. Affiliate pages note that crypto deposits are excluded from Mostbet's welcome bonus, so a crypto deposit may not qualify.
