Pixmove Games games

Who Pixmove is

Pixmove Games is one of the studios riding the wave of short “mini games” that grew out of crypto casinos. It doesn’t try to compete with the big slot makers. Instead it builds small, fast games with simple rules: pick a thimble, smash ore with a pickaxe, cash out.

The studio’s website shows its games but says little about the company. Industry directories describe Pixmove as founded around 2022 and operating through a Curaçao company, Pixmove B.V., under a B2B supply licence from Anjouan. Anjouan is one of the lightest-touch offshore regulators. That doesn’t mean the games are unfair, but there is less outside oversight than with studios licensed in Malta or the UK.

What its games are known for

• One decision per round. Most Pixmove games ask you to make one or two choices, and the round is over in seconds.
• Low top wins on the simple games. King Thimbles pays at most 3x your stake and has an RTP of 95%. It is a low-volatility guessing game, not a jackpot hunt.
• Arcade-style looks. Pixel art, mining and street-game themes that feel more like mobile games than casino games.
• Fast pace. Because rounds are so quick, hundreds can pass in a session. That is where the real cost comes from.

Best Pixmove games

King Thimbles

King Thimbles is Pixmove’s breakout title and one of the most searched game names in South Africa (“king thimbles game”, “king thimbles real money”, “where to play king thimbles”). It turns the old street shell game into a casino game. You can choose a mode with more balls, which wins more often and pays less, or fewer balls, which wins less often and pays more. Watching the shuffle doesn’t help: the result comes from the random number generator, not the animation.

Falling Pickaxe

Falling Pickaxe is a newer pixel-art mining game. Pickaxes drop down a shaft, break through blocks of ore and collect multipliers on the way. It suits players who like something to watch rather than a straight pick. Its RTP and top win aren’t in our data yet, so check the info screen in the game before you stake.

Where South Africans can play Pixmove games

We haven’t confirmed a South African provincially licensed casino that carries Pixmove. The local sites lean on Pragmatic Play, Habanero and Spribe for their quick games, so Pixmove’s titles mostly appear at offshore casinos.

1Win has a large instant-game section open to South Africans and offers 500% up to R75,000 over 4 deposits. It is licensed in Curaçao, so you have no provincial board to complain to. Whichever casino you use, check two things first: that the game is actually in the lobby, and whether instant games count towards bonus wagering.

Playing safely

Thimble and pick games feel like skill games. They aren’t. Set a number of rounds or a time limit, don’t raise your stake after a loss, and treat the money you play with as the price of entertainment. If it’s getting out of hand, call the NRGP helpline on 0800 006 008.
