Who Amatic is
Amatic Industries comes from Ansfelden in Austria and has built gaming machines since 1993. Like several European cabinet makers, it moved its land-based games online, so its slots look and play like the machines you’d find in a European arcade or casino floor. The company is still privately run and focuses on classic content rather than trend-chasing mechanics.
That makes Amatic a niche choice. If you like modern slots with cascades, bonus buys and 10,000x headlines, it isn’t the studio for you. If you like a three-minute session of fruits, bells and a gamble button, it is.
What Amatic games are known for
- Classic symbols. Cherries, bells, sevens, stars and books. Very little story, very little animation.
- Gamble features. After most wins you can risk the payout on a card colour or a ladder to double it, or take the win. The gamble is close to a fair coin flip, so it adds risk without changing the long-run cost much. It can, though, empty a balance quickly if you keep pressing it.
- Fixed lines. Many games use 5, 10, 20 or 40 fixed paylines, which makes the paytable easy to read.
- Respectable RTPs. Amatic’s online versions usually sit around 95% to 96%.
Best Amatic games
Bells on Fire is Amatic’s most searched title in South Africa. It’s a fruit-and-bell slot with an RTP of 96%, burning bell symbols and a gamble feature. The studio’s catalogue also includes the Hot series and Book of Fortune, which follows the “book” formula made famous by older European machines.
Where to play Amatic games in South Africa
Amatic is one of the European studios that South African licensed casinos carry. Our data lists Amatic games at Easybet and Playbet, both licensed by provincial boards. That means you have a local regulator to complain to if a payout goes wrong. Offshore casinos also carry Amatic, but without that protection.
Because Amatic slots are fairly steady, they can work for clearing bonus wagering. Check the terms first: some casinos count classic slots at a lower rate. Avoid the gamble feature while playing with bonus money, as many casinos ban it or void winnings won with it.
Amatic’s “book” slots
Amatic’s Book of Fortune follows the classic book formula: free spins with one expanding symbol. It’s the same idea as Book of Dead from Play'n GO, in a plainer style.
