How a round works
Joker’s Jewels from Pragmatic Play is about as simple as a modern slot gets. It has five reels, three rows and five fixed lines. The symbols are coloured gems, a crown, a ring and the joker. You set your stake, spin, and wins pay from the left on any of the five lines. There are no wilds, no cascades and no free spins.
It’s an old-school game in a modern studio’s catalogue, and it has kept a loyal following because of that. If you want to understand exactly why each spin paid what it did, this is the game.
Features
- Five lines: straight across the three rows plus two diagonals.
- Joker scatter: the joker pays when three or more land anywhere on the screen, not just on a line.
- No bonus round: every spin is a base-game spin.
- Jackpot: our data lists a jackpot feature for the game; whether it is active depends on the casino.
The top win is 1040x the stake.
RTP and volatility
The published RTP is 96.5%. Pragmatic Play supplies lower versions too, so check the paytable.
It is listed as high volatility. With five lines and no features, most spins lose, a few pay small amounts, and the large wins come from five-of-a-kind on a line or a screen of jokers. That means a session can drift down for a long time and then recover in one spin, or not at all.
Honest tips
- No feature means no “due” bonus. There’s nothing building up between spins. Each spin is independent.
- High volatility in a plain game catches people out. It looks gentle, but it isn’t. Stake small.
- Good for learning how slots work. Watching a five-line game makes RTP and volatility easy to understand.
- Try the demo first to see how rare the big wins are.
