Bull Blitz Fortunes of the Orient slot demo

What Bull Blitz Fortunes of the Orient is

Bull Blitz is a slot series from Konami Gaming, the Japanese company best known in casinos for its cabinet games. The series was first shown at G2E Asia in 2023 as the follow-up to Konami’s popular All Aboard games, and it comes in two base versions: Fortunes of the Orient and Roses & Riches. This page covers Fortunes of the Orient.

The theme is an ornate Asian garden, where you are a guest of ancient nobility. The high symbols include Buddha, a dragon turtle, a pot of gold, a money tree and koi, and the star of the game is a charging golden bull.

It matters to know that this is mainly a land-based game. You’ll find it on casino floors in Asia, Australia and elsewhere, and it is rarely carried by online casinos. If you saw it at a Sun International or Tsogo Sun venue, that’s the cabinet version.

How a round works

Konami’s materials describe a five-reel game with 50 lines. You choose your bet, and every spin pays line wins from left to right. Wilds substitute for regular symbols. In this version, wilds that land can expand to fill the whole reel, which can complete several lines at once.

The Bull Blitz feature

The game’s main event is the Bull Blitz credit prize feature. According to Konami, it is awarded when six or more Bull Blitz symbols land. Bull symbols carry credit prizes, and the feature works like a hold-and-spin round: the bulls lock in place while the other positions keep spinning, and each new bull adds its prize and resets the spins. At the end, all prizes are paid together.

The Xtra Hit symbol is what makes the feature special. Konami says that each Xtra Hit that lands during Bull Blitz pays out the coin prizes again, so one or two Xtra Hits can turn a small feature into a large one.

Free games

The game also has a free games round. Konami’s brochure says all wins during the free games are doubled, and stacked wilds can land on reels two to five. Combined with expanding wilds, that’s where line wins become much bigger than in the base game.

RTP and volatility

Konami hasn’t published an RTP for this title that we could confirm. Land-based machines are usually configured by the venue within the limits set by the regulator, so the return can vary between casinos. Third-party sites describe it as high volatility, which fits a game whose value sits mostly in a hold-and-spin feature.

Honest tips

• Ask or check the machine’s info screen at a land-based venue for the configured return, if displayed.
• Hold-and-spin features don’t build up for you. A machine that hasn’t paid the feature in a while isn’t “due”.
• Set a budget before you sit down. Cabinet games are fast, and the sounds and lights are designed to keep you playing.
• Use the venue’s limit tools. South African casinos offer self-exclusion and limits; the NRGP helpline is free on 0800 006 008.
