Rollbit sportsbook review

Rollbit is a Curaçao-licensed crypto sportsbook with a strong esports focus, but it offers no welcome bonus and no South African licence. It returns instant rakeback on every bet instead, pays out in crypto almost immediately, and sponsors CS2 events and teams, which shows in its esports coverage.

02Our review

Rollbit at a glance

Rollbit launched in 2020 and is run by Bull Gaming N.V. under a Curaçao licence (157086). It’s a crypto-only platform that combines a casino, a sportsbook and trading-style products such as crypto futures and NFTs. This review is about the sportsbook. For the casino and Originals, see our Rollbit casino review.

What sets Rollbit apart from other crypto books is its presence in esports. It was the official betting partner of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, a top-tier CS2 event, it has sponsored FaZe Clan’s Counter-Strike team, and it has joined ESIC, the Esports Integrity Commission, as an anti-corruption partner. Sponsorship doesn’t make odds better, but it does tell you where the sportsbook’s priorities lie.

No welcome bonus: instant rakeback

Wagering
No wagering

Rollbit doesn’t run a deposit match for bettors or casino players. Its main reward is instant rakeback: a share of the house edge on every bet comes back to your balance, with no wagering. There’s also a daily race, a leaderboard where the biggest bettors of the day share prizes.

Is rakeback better than a bonus?

For most South African punters, no. A deposit match gives you more to bet with on day one; rakeback returns a small slice of your losses over time. But rakeback has two honest advantages: it never expires, and it never locks your own money behind wagering. If you hate bonus terms, Rollbit’s approach is clean.

Leaderboard races are a different matter. They reward volume, and chasing a leaderboard place is one of the fastest ways to bet more than you planned. Treat them as a side effect of normal play, never a target.

If you’d rather have a sports welcome bonus, Thunderpick offers a sports and esports match, and our featured offshore pick 1Win runs Rand accounts with a deposit bonus.

Odds and margins

Rollbit doesn’t publish its margins. On top-tier esports matches, such as a CS2 Major or a Dota 2 international event, crypto books with an esports focus tend to price competitively, because those are the events their customers bet on most. Lower-tier tournaments and niche props carry wider margins, as do long accumulators.

On football, expect prices on the big European leagues to follow the international market. Use our odds converter to see the margin in a two-way market: add up the implied probabilities, and anything above 100% is the bookmaker’s edge.

A note on futures and NFTs

Rollbit also offers leveraged crypto futures. These aren’t sports betting, and leverage can wipe out a balance in minutes. They’re outside the scope of this review, and we don’t recommend mixing them with your betting money.

Markets

Esports: Rollbit’s strength

Reviews describe coverage of more than a dozen esports titles, including:

  • CS2: markets such as match and map winner, with the most depth on Majors and big international events
  • Dota 2: match and map markets on top tournaments
  • League of Legends: the main leagues and international events

Live markets are available on major tournaments, which suits esports punters who like to bet between maps.

Football and other sports

  • Football: the EPL, Champions League and La Liga
  • Tennis, boxing and MMA: listed in our data

South African competitions such as the PSL, Currie Cup and SA20 aren’t confirmed, and there’s no horse racing, Lucky Numbers or Betgames. For local betting, use a licensed South African bookmaker; our PSL betting sites list is the place to start.

Betting on CS2: what to look at

A few habits help on any CS2 market, at Rollbit or elsewhere:

  • Map pool. Teams have strong and weak maps, and the map veto shapes a best-of-three before a round is played. Prices before and after the veto can differ sharply.
  • Roster changes. A stand-in player can change a team’s level more than any football injury. Check the line-up close to the start.
  • Format. Best-of-one matches are far more random than best-of-three, so favourites lose more often. Short odds on a best-of-one are rarely good value.
  • Integrity. Lower-tier matches are where match-fixing cases have historically clustered. Rollbit’s ESIC membership is reassuring, but small-event markets still carry more risk.

Live betting and cash-out

Esports suits live betting: odds shift round by round, and Rollbit covers major events in play. Football in-play is available on the main leagues. Cash-out isn’t confirmed in our data, so don’t plan around it.

Mobile

Rollbit runs in the mobile browser; there’s no app in our data. The site keeps the sportsbook, wallet and rakeback on one screen and can be saved to your home screen. Avoid third-party APKs claiming to be Rollbit.

Deposits and withdrawals

Rollbit is crypto-only. You can deposit and withdraw with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT) and Other crypto (SOL, DOGE, XRP, BNB, TRX, USDC, BCH and more). There are no bank, card or voucher methods.

Withdrawals are processed Near-instant (crypto), which is about as fast as betting payouts get. The slow part for a South African is the conversion back to Rands on an exchange, plus the exchange’s withdrawal to your bank.

Picking a coin

  • USDT holds its value in dollars, so your balance doesn’t swing with the market. It’s the simplest choice for betting.
  • Bitcoin is widely supported but can have slower confirmations and higher network fees at busy times.
  • Litecoin and some other coins are cheap and quick to send, but check that your exchange supports them.

Whatever you choose, use the same coin and network both ways to avoid conversion costs.

Licence and safety

Rollbit’s Curaçao licence provides a basic framework, and its ESIC membership is a positive sign for esports integrity. But it’s not a South African licence:

  • No provincial dispute route. If a bet is voided or an account closed, you depend on Rollbit’s support and the Curaçao regulator.
  • Access isn’t confirmed for South Africa. One review says no African countries are restricted; check the current terms yourself.
  • Your funds aren’t protected under South African rules.

Our responsible gambling page covers what you give up with an offshore bookmaker.

Support

Rollbit offers support through live chat on the site. Its community is active, but on disputes the answer comes from Rollbit’s own terms.

Before you contact support about a missing deposit or withdrawal, have the transaction hash (TXID) from your wallet or exchange ready. With crypto, that hash is the proof of what was sent, when, and to which address, and it usually settles a query faster than anything else.

Tax note

SARS treats crypto gains as taxable. If you buy coins, bet with them and later sell at a higher Rand value, the gain on the coin itself may need to be declared, separate from your betting results. Keep a record of your purchases and sales.

Who Rollbit suits

  • CS2 and Dota 2 bettors who want a book that takes esports seriously.
  • Crypto holders who want fast payouts and no bonus terms.
  • Punters who prefer rakeback to deposit bonuses.

It suits anyone who wants a welcome bonus, Rand accounts, the PSL or racing much less well.

Rollbit against other esports books

Thunderpick is the most esports-focused book we review and offers a sports welcome bonus. Duelbits pays rakeback of up to 60% by VIP level. Shuffle has deep esports coverage and a deposit bonus. Rollbit’s distinguishing features are its sponsorship ties to top-tier CS2 and its no-strings rakeback.

A sensible way to use it

If you follow CS2 closely, Rollbit can be a good specialist account. Keep it small: deposit a fixed amount of USDT each month, bet only on events you’ve actually watched or studied, and withdraw winnings to your exchange regularly instead of letting a balance build up on the site. Keep your football, rugby and racing betting with a South African licensed bookmaker. Review your results every month in Rands, not coins: it is the only way to see honestly whether the account is costing you more than you planned.

Verdict

Rollbit is a credible crypto sportsbook for esports fans, with real ties to top-tier CS2, near-instant crypto payouts and rakeback that comes without wagering. It’s honest about what it is: no bonus gimmicks, just a percentage back on everything you bet.

It’s not a sensible main account for most South Africans. There’s no welcome bonus, no Rand currency, no local sport or racing, and only a Curaçao licence with unconfirmed access from South Africa. The futures product is a risk best avoided altogether.

Esports matches run around the clock. Set a monthly limit in Rands before you deposit, and call the free NRGP helpline on 0800 006 008 if betting is causing you stress.

Frequently asked questions

Can South Africans use Rollbit?

One review says no African countries are on Rollbit's restricted list, but South Africa isn't confirmed explicitly. Rollbit holds a Curaçao licence (157086), not a South African one, so check its terms before you sign up and never use a VPN to get around a block.

Does Rollbit have a welcome bonus?

No. Rollbit doesn't offer a deposit match. Instead, it pays instant rakeback on your bets, with no wagering, plus daily race leaderboard prizes.

Does Rollbit have esports betting?

Yes. Rollbit's sportsbook covers CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends and other titles, with pre-match and live markets on major tournaments. It was the official betting partner of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.

How fast are Rollbit withdrawals?

Crypto withdrawals are near-instant once processed, plus the time the blockchain needs to confirm. Rollbit is crypto-only, so there are no bank withdrawals.

Is Rollbit safe?

Rollbit has operated since 2020 under Bull Gaming N.V. and a Curaçao licence, and it is an ESIC anti-corruption partner in esports. It still offers far fewer protections than a provincially licensed South African bookmaker.
