BC.Game sportsbook review

BC.Game is a crypto casino and sportsbook that South Africans can use with more than 150 coins, but it holds an Anjouan licence, not a South African one. Its sportsbook covers global football, tennis, fight sports and esports, withdrawals usually take about 12 minutes, and rewards come as rakeback and VIP perks rather than a sports welcome bonus.

02Our review

What BC.Game is

BC.Game launched in 2017 and has grown into one of the biggest names in crypto gambling, run by Twocent Technology Limited. It’s best known for its casino and its in-house “BC Originals” games, but it also has a full sportsbook. It accepts more than 150 cryptocurrencies, which is far more than most rivals.

The important fact for South Africans is the licence. BC.Game is licensed in Anjouan (ALSI-202410011-FI1), one of the Comoros islands, which has become a common base for crypto casinos. It isn’t a South African licence, and it offers fewer player protections than a provincial one. We cover what that means below.

This review covers betting only. For the casino, Originals and the crypto casino bonus, see our BC.Game casino review.

Bonuses for bettors

BC.Game doesn’t run a sports-only welcome offer. Its tiered deposit bonus is a casino promotion priced in US dollars and is listed as unconfirmed in our data. If the offer card on this page shows an amount in Rands, read it as dollars: the site’s offers are priced in USD.

What applies to bettors is the loyalty side:

  • Rakeback: a share of the house edge on your bets returned to you, with no wagering
  • VIP tiers: higher levels bring bigger rakeback and extra rewards
  • Daily lucky wheel and login rewards: small daily prizes

Rakeback is steady but small. It works like a discount on the bookmaker’s margin, not a bonus that changes your results. If you want a deposit match on sport in Rands, our featured offshore pick 1Win offers one, and provincially licensed books are listed in our best betting sites list.

Rakeback in Rands

Say you place the equivalent of R5,000 of sports bets in a month. If the sportsbook’s average margin on your bets is around 5%, the house expects to keep about R250. Rakeback returns a share of that edge, so at a modest rate you might get back a few tens of Rand. That’s real money with no strings, but it’s a rebate on losses, not a source of profit. Higher VIP levels raise the rate, and they’re reached by betting more, which is exactly why they shouldn’t be the goal.

Signing up

  1. Register with an email address, or link a crypto wallet or social login.
  2. Turn on two-factor authentication straight away; with crypto, a hacked account is very hard to recover.
  3. Expect identity checks before larger withdrawals, even if you weren’t asked at sign-up.
  4. Choose which coin you’ll hold your balance in before you deposit.

One wallet for betting and casino

Your BC.Game balance is shared between the sportsbook, the casino and the Originals such as Crash, Limbo and Plinko. That’s convenient, but it means a bettor who meant to place a weekend acca can drift into fast casino games with the same money. If you only want sport, decide on that before you log in, and set yourself a firm deposit cap.

Odds and margins

BC.Game doesn’t publish margins. In general terms, crypto sportsbooks price the big football leagues and tennis close to the international market. Margins are wider on niche leagues, props and esports, where fewer bookmakers set prices.

Remember the currency effect. If you bet in Bitcoin, the Rand value of your stake and winnings moves with the coin. A bet that wins can still be worth less in Rands a week later. Stablecoins such as USDT avoid that swing. Our odds converter shows the margin in any decimal price.

Markets

Football and global sports

  • Football: the EPL, Champions League and La Liga, plus other major European leagues
  • Tennis: the main tours and Grand Slams
  • Fight sports: boxing and MMA

South African competitions (the PSL, Nedbank Cup, Currie Cup and SA20) aren’t confirmed in our data, and there’s no horse racing, Lucky Numbers or Betgames. For local betting you need a licensed South African bookmaker: start with our PSL betting sites list.

Esports

Esports is part of BC.Game’s sportsbook, covering the big titles and tournaments. It’s broad rather than specialist. For deeper esports coverage, compare Thunderpick, which is built around esports, or Duelbits.

Live betting

BC.Game offers in-play markets on football, tennis and esports, with odds updating during play. Fast crypto settlement means a winning live bet is in your balance within moments of the market settling. Cash-out isn’t confirmed in our data; check your open bets for the option.

Mobile

BC.Game runs in the mobile browser and can be saved to your home screen. There’s no app in our data. Be careful with “BC.Game APK” files from third-party sites; they aren’t verified by the operator.

Deposits and withdrawals

BC.Game is crypto-first. The cashier takes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT) and a long list of Other crypto (SOL, DOGE, XRP, BNB, TRX, USDC, BCH and more). It also links to a third-party fiat on-ramp, which turns a card payment into crypto; those services charge their own fees, often higher than buying coins on a local exchange.

The usual South African route

  1. Buy USDT or another coin on a local exchange such as Luno or VALR, paying in Rands.
  2. Send it to your BC.Game deposit address, on the exact network the cashier names.
  3. Bet, then withdraw back to the exchange and sell for Rands.

Withdrawals are processed About 12 minutes (crypto) in most cases. Network fees and the exchange spread are real costs, and on small amounts they can be larger than any rakeback you earn. Our Bitcoin payments guide explains each step.

Sending to the wrong network

The most common crypto mistake is sending a coin on the wrong network (for example, USDT on Ethereum to a Tron address). Funds sent that way are often lost. Copy the deposit address from the cashier, check the network label twice, and send a small test amount first. Once the test arrives, send the rest to the same address and network.

The Anjouan licence: what it means for you

  • No local dispute route. South African boards have no power over BC.Game. If a bet is voided or a withdrawal held, you rely on BC.Game’s support and the Anjouan regulator.
  • Lighter oversight. Anjouan licences are widely regarded as less demanding than Malta, the UK or even the reformed Curaçao regime.
  • Your risk. Player funds aren’t protected under South African rules, and South African law licenses online betting only provincially.

Read our responsible gambling page for the protections you give up with an offshore book.

Support

BC.Game offers live chat and email support, with an active community chat on the site. Have your transaction hash ready for any deposit query. Answers on disputes come from BC.Game’s own terms, not a South African regulator.

Who BC.Game suits

  • Crypto holders who want one site for sport, esports and casino with almost any coin.
  • Bettors who value fast withdrawals over local protections.
  • Punters who like loyalty rewards that build over time.

It suits anyone who bets on the PSL, racing or Lucky Numbers, or who wants a South African licence, much less well.

BC.Game against other crypto books

Among the crypto sportsbooks we review, Cloudbet has the longest track record (since 2013) and publishes high limits; Thunderpick has a real sports and esports welcome bonus; Rollbit and Gamdom lean on rakeback like BC.Game. BC.Game’s edge is the size of its coin list and its daily rewards.

Tax and record-keeping

Gambling winnings for ordinary punters generally aren’t taxed in South Africa, but crypto is different: SARS treats gains on crypto disposals as taxable. If you buy coins, bet with them and sell them later at a different Rand price, that sale can create a gain or loss you’re expected to declare. Keep a simple record of what you bought, when, and what you sold it for. If your amounts are large, speak to a tax practitioner.

Verdict

BC.Game is a big, established crypto site with a usable sportsbook, more coins than anyone else and quick withdrawals. For an experienced crypto user who bets on European football, tennis or esports, it does the job, and the rakeback and VIP rewards add a little back over time.

For most South African punters it’s the wrong main account: no Rands, no local sport to speak of, no sports welcome bonus and only an Anjouan licence. Keep your main betting with a provincially licensed bookmaker and treat any crypto account as secondary.

Crypto balances make spending easy to lose track of. Keep a note of your deposits in Rands, set a monthly limit, and call the free NRGP helpline on 0800 006 008 if you need help.
