Welcome package
A welcome package is a new-player bonus spread over several deposits, such as a match on each of your first four deposits plus free spins. The headline total only applies if you make every qualifying deposit and clear each part's wagering.
How a welcome package is structured
Big headline numbers, like “up to R28,000 plus 300 free spins”, are nearly always packages. The total is split over several deposits, for example:
- First deposit: 100% up to R5,000 plus 100 free spins
- Second deposit: 50% up to R8,000 plus 100 free spins
- Third deposit: 50% up to R10,000
- Fourth deposit: 25% up to R5,000 plus 100 free spins
To get the whole amount you would need to deposit tens of thousands of Rands, which few players do.
What to look at
- Wagering per part. Each bonus often has its own wagering requirement and expiry.
- Time limits. Some packages must be claimed within 7 or 30 days of sign-up.
- Minimum deposit per stage, often R25 to R100.
- Free spins rules: the eligible game and whether winnings are capped.
Gbets and Goldrush both use four-deposit packages, and 1Win’s 500% offer is split over four deposits too. See our welcome bonus page to compare current packages by real cost, not headline size.
Frequently asked questions
What is a casino welcome package?
It is a bundle of bonuses for new players, split across your first two to five deposits. Each part usually has its own match percentage, cap, free spins and wagering.
Do I have to claim every part of a welcome package?
No. You can usually stop after any deposit. You only get the parts you qualify for, so the headline total is the maximum, not what most players receive.
Is a bigger welcome package always better?
No. A smaller package with low wagering often gives you a better chance of withdrawing something. Compare the wagering and the cost in Rands, not just the total.
