Symbols & Payouts
There’s a lot to take in on the pay table – it’s around thirteen pages long, because of the large number of payline diagrams for the bonus round. There are 20 line diagrams for the base game, the 6-reel bonus round and the 7-reel bonus round, as well as 60 and 100 pay line diagrams for all the various configurations of a bonus round too.
The numbers seem to be big in every area with Maximus Reels. There are quite a few features to discuss in Maximus Reels as well. Every time you spin the reels, there is a chance that up to five wild symbols will be added to the play field at random. It’s entirely possible for five wilds to just drop onto a payline before the reels have even stopped spinning, which is a very nice touch!
Hitting three, four, or five scatter symbols awards seven, ten, or fifteen free spins respectively. When the bonus begins you are transported to the battle arena, where you are asked to choose from several plates to add additional features to your bonus round. Entering the bonus with four or five scatters gives you additional chances to pick from these plates.
If you pick correctly, you can end up with 6 Sticky Wilds, 2 Extra Reels, 2 Extra Rows, all royal symbols converted into wilds, 2 Mirror Reels, and a multiplier of 2x or 3x. That’s many extra features and huge potential for some big wins!
A gamble feature is offered which allows you to double any win, including the outcome of your bonus round. I always feel like this is a little bit dangerous myself – you can lose your entire winnings, as well as double them. I choose to stay away from features like this personally, but it’s nice to have the option for players who enjoy this kind of thing.
