Although this game is designed in high definition 3-D, the effort seemed somewhat muted due to the simple visuals that for the most part failed to exploit the design. In fact, ‘bling’ is probably not the best adjective to describe the slot, though this is not to suggest it is terrible by any means.
Embedded within a metallic box lies the playing area of this 5×3 (reels/rows) and 9 paylines (adjacent pay) slot. The story of the box and gems inside forms part of the ‘arcane’ or mystery. The symbols begin with 5 high-wins made from larger gemstones of different colours and shapes. Arcane Lock Mechanics
The Arcane Lock Mechanics is a feature that is triggered with a payline win of 3+ symbols. The win is calculated only at the end of the feature.
Arcane Multipliers
When a column is fully stacked with frozen symbols as part of the Arcane Lock Mechanics, a random Arcane multiplier of 2x-5x is applied. One of the big selling points of the slot was its 3-D graphics which as we mentioned seemed a little redundant given the rather simple nature of the symbols. To be fair, the developer did a better job on the background. Outside of the 3-D graphics, nothing about this game reinvents the wheel. While the payout potential is high, we found that cracking 20x bet difficult, despite the decent hit rate of the features and adjacent pay mechanics.
Arguably, the slot will appeal to players who enjoy its simplicity and perhaps like that there is no need to wait for free spins to collect noteworthy payouts.
